Decorative circular 'S Sainsbury' boxes

Large red box featuring Arthurian characters 'Designed especially for S Sainsbury, 136 Regent Street'; smaller green box featuring pastoral scene 'S Sainsbury Estd. 1839, 136 Regent Street London W'. The boxes have size labels on the underside - the larger box is labelled 'Size B' and the smaller one 'Size E'. It is not clear what the boxes would have contained or whether there is a connection between 'S Sainsbury' and John James Sainsbury.
