An information pack from The Fellowship of Engineering regarding the a donation made by the Gatsby Charitable Foundation for £250,000 for four years, 'to enable committed engineers to study for the degree of Master of Business Administration (MBA) at INSEAD at Fontainbleau, IMEDE at Lausanne or IMI at Geneva.'
It was the largest private grant for management study ever made in the country at the time.
The pack contains: a press release, a list of attendees at the reception, a sheet explaining the Gatsby Charitable Foundation, a page regarding the definitions, a page on the roles and responsibilities of Chartered Engineers, notes on European International Business Schools, information for intending applicants and employers, a copy of the advertisement, photographs of David Sainsbury and Sir Denis Rooke, a sheet entitled, 'An introduction to the fellowship of Engineering,' and a transcript of the speeches given at the press reception on 24 March 1987.
