Image of hair brush given on behalf of David Sainsbury to Elsie Salmon (who was born the same day)

Photograph showing a silver backed brush which was given by Mr R.J. Sainsbury (on behalf of his newly born son David) to Elsie, who was born on the same day as David. JS Journal March 1979 page 24 explains that Elsie Salmon's father Harold Goshawk (manager of Walthamstow branch) had wrote to congratulate Mr R.J. on the birth of his son. "Mr R. J. extended reciprocal congratulations and good wishes, and sent a silver backed hair brush on behalf of his son 'to the young lady who started her life on the same day as he did". The photograph is included in JS Journal March 1979 page 24. A near identical photo (slightly lighter) is also included in the file.
