Account book detailing the expenditure under various account codes relating to 'depot wages'. The figures are given for each financial period (each financial year was divided into 13 periods).
The term 'depot' in the company was previously used often to refer to the central functions of the company mainly based at the Blackfriars head office complex including the central head office departments and the company's food production factory in addition to the distribution and warehousing functions. It is not clear whether 'depot' in this volume refers to this wider meaning or the narrower meaning referring just to the warehousing and distribution function.
Each table in the book contains columns for each account code. Most of the codes are not explained in this volume, but it may be possible to find out the meaning of the codes from other account books such as the ledgers.
