Debit columns (left hand side) are Sundries, Sales, [blank column], Branches, and Total.
Credit columns (right hand side) are Sundries, Relief and Sick Managers, [blank column], Bought Ledger, and Total.

Includes page at the front, 'Architects & surveyors' which contains the name of the architect or surveyor, the job they carried out and the fee they were paid. Also includes a page at the back, 'Properties purchased' which contains the address of the property purchased, the price, whether it was freehold or leasehold, the deposit paid, the balance due and when it was paid, and the name of the solicitor used.

This cash book (in the column following the description of the transaction) includes cross-references to corresponding entries in the various series of depot private ledgers. For example "C 119" refers to an entry in folio (double page) 119 of the C series of depot private ledgers.

There is no balance brought forward filled in at the top of the first folio, which suggests that this is the first cash book for this account.
