Rent and rates journal, 1939-46

Journal containing details of transactions between accounts relating to properties such as. Rent Sales Ledger Account to Rents Receivable account. It appears to relate to properties which were rented out by Sainsbury's to other companies and individuals. Most of the properties appear to be situated close to Sainsbury's branches including some flats located at the same address as a branch (probably above the shop).

The journal includes transactions relating to rents, taxes/rates, insurance, utility bills, and war damage.
