Photographs showing the shipping of butter from Friesland in the Netherlands to Chambers Wharf in London. It was later delivered to Sainsbury's depot at Union Street, London (see SA/IMA/4/SA/43-44). The photographs include the ship arriving in London in the early hours of the morning, and going along the Thames passing by Tower Bridge.
Some of the photographs feature in JS Journal April-May 1962 ("Fresh from Friesland, Part 2. Bringing Dutch Butter from the Dairy to Blackfriars" page 22-27).
