Photograph by Brian Shuel which is part of a set showing the manufacturing of Sainsbury's Chocolate Peppermint Creams [probably at Paynes, a confectionery manufacturer in Croydon - image SA/IMA/4/SO/19/27 includes some packets with Paynes branding]. An article and some of the photographs from this set SO17 to SO21 are included in JS Journal December 1968 pages 14 to 17. This photograph is included on page 17 which explains it shows the creams "being taken from trays and placed into moulded plastic trays" which was a semi-automatic process.
