An article and some of the photographs from this set SO17 to SO21 are included in JS Journal December 1968 pages 14 to 17.
JS Journal explains that "basic ingredient in peppermint creams is fondant made by heating glucose and sugar until they're liquid, cooling to turn this into a sticky, transparent substance, then beating until it becomes [a] white cream" like is shown in this picture.
