JS Journal explains it shows: "A group of trainees from Mr. Lewis's area on one of the Advanced Training Courses at Blackfriars [Sainsbury's former head office complex in London]. These have been started recently and take the form of six one-day seminars held once a week. Subjects in broad terms cover JS [Sainsbury's] trading policy, the distribution system, personnel policy, work study at the branches and other topics of a non-commodity nature. In the picture Mr. A. E. Leach is answering questions in discussion following his lecture".
