This is one of the photographs used in 'JS Journal' (staff magazine) November 1968 pages 12-15 for an article on the branch opening. JS Journal explains that the picture was "taken just before opening, [and] shows the spacious and roomy design of the branch which with 9,400 square feet of shopping space is typical of what the new kind of JS [Sainsbury's] supermarkets will be like in the next few years".
