Article details how "Mr. George Turney, beerhouse keeper, of 12, Durham Road, sued J. Sainsbury...who has a branch business of 18 and 20, Seven Sisters Road, to recover 7s. 6d., expenses for having been subpoenaed as a witness in a case which the defendant had brought against him a few weeks ago for the recovery of 6s. 9d., the price of a quantity of provisions supplied to the plaintiff". After the plaintiff's case was stated, the Judge remarked that there was no ground of action and he dismissed the action, and allowed the defendant 7s. 6d. costs.
