Text: 'There were exciting scenes in the Haymarket on Friday and Saturday, on the occasion of the opening of Mr. J. Sainsbury's new premises, which are a notable edition to Norwich. Directly the doors were open there was a rush of customers, and record attendances were recorded. On Saturday evening the premises were invaded by thousands of people, and all the approaches were crowded, police having to regulate the traffic. The assistants had a very busy time, and they are to be congratulated on the highly successful start'.
