Newspaper advertisement published in the Eastbourne Gazette referring to the phasing out of Government price controls (minimum and maximum prices introduced during the First World War, due to food shortages) which will allow Sainsbury's to be soon "able to offer all kinds of Provisions at much reduced prices" starting this week with margarine at 10 pence a pound. It also urges the public to insist on the removal of price controls on tea which it says will enable the company to reduce the price of tea.
