Sainsbury’s “Down in Price” commercial (10 seconds). With voiceover "Take a fresh look at Sainsbury’s Whole Fresh Chickens, this week down in price to 64p a pound". One of a series of short television commercials promoting special offers on Sainsbury’s own-brand foods and drinks.
This advert is probably one which was to be broadcast from 14 to 18 January 1990 as part of a meat promotion (see Special Bulletin 17/90). It appears that the advertisement was then repeated for the 1991 Winter Promotion and broadcast from 3 to 6 February 1991 (see Special Bulletin 43/91).
