Television commercial (30 seconds) promoting the Sainsbury's Discount '78 price promotion.
The commercial on the theme of 'Everyone's talking about Sainsbury's' shows a series of four very brief comedic sketches or vignettes on this theme of people talking about the promotion. The announcer and a graphic then show details of a discounted product.
There are two versions of the commercial included - the original and a revised version. On the revised version the price of tea has been reduced, but the two versions appear to be otherwise identical.
1. Two women talking at a party - Dutch Edam 58p per lb.
2. Man in igloo - 10 Cod Fish Fingers 39p.
3. Two clergymen having tea - Red Label Tea 19p (or 18p on revised version).
4. Two men hanging laundry on washing line - Persil Automatic £1.39 (the second actor is Gorden Kaye).
It ends with a graphic of the Sainsbury's Discount '78 logo and caption "Good food costs less at Sainsbury's".
