"Drop Everything" television commercial

Advert in the form of an imagined supermarket romance between two young people (played by Nicholas Gleaves and Colette Brown) buying the same items. It was filmed on 15th, 16th and 19th June 1995 (it was produced with the 'Drop Everything' and 'Fridge' commercials) at HDS Studios, Hayes Ends with slogan "Sainsbury's. Everyone's favourite ingredient.". The background music track is "Thirty Something" (see audio cassette number 607) - the theme music of the late 1990s 'Everyone's favourite ingredient' television commercials (but originally used in an American TV series). Another version of the commercial with different music and caption is also included. This is probably an early unfinished version of the commercial.

Television commercial (30 seconds) promoting Sainsbury's Indulgence ice cream. The advert was due to first air on television on 9 July 1995. It was filmed on 20th June 1995 (it was produced at the same time as TV adverts 'Romance' and 'Drop Everything') at HDS Studio, Hayes.. The commercial shows a couple (played by Paris Jefferson and Robert Patterson) next to their freezer - which is full of different flavours of Indulgence ice cream. She grabs her partner by his shirt and in a passionate way asks for the ice cream but can't decide which flavour to have. Ends with the caption "Sainsbury's. Everyone's favourite ingredient.". The background music is a theme used in various 1990s Sainsbury's television commercials (though originally from a US TV series) entitled "Thirty Something". There is also an alternative 40 second version of the commercial. This does not appear to be a finished commercial (the graphic at the end with "Sainsbury's Everyones Favourite Ingredient" caption does not appear to be correct), and it was perhaps an early version made during the editing process which was not actually used.
