Television commercial (30 seconds) promoting Sainsbury's centenary in 1969.
Kenneth Kendall (newsreader) visits an unidentified branch and asks a customer what she thinks of Sainsbury's and whether she knew the company was 100 years old. She praises the choice of products available, own label products, the absence of "gimmicks" such as trading stamps and free gifts, and the prices.
Ends with a cake with candles and the slogan "100 Good food years".
