Television commercial (30 seconds) promoting Sainsbury's centenary in 1969.
Kenneth Kendall (newsreader) visits an unidentified branch and asks a range of customers what they think of Sainsbury's. They praise the cleanliness, freshness, value for money, the absence of "gimmicks" such as trading stamps and free gifts, and the design of Sainsbury's branches and packaging. One customer calls it "the finest store in England".
Ends with the caption "Sainsbury's say 'Thank-You' for their first 100 years" and an animated version of the "1869 1969" centenary logo.
