Television commercial (30 seconds) promoting Sainsbury's centenary in 1969.
Kenneth Kendall (newsreader) visits an unidentified branch and asks a range of customers what they think of Sainsbury's. One customer calls it "the finest store in England". Others praise the value for money, freshness, meat, cleanliness and quality. Another customer says she "loves" Sainsbury's and "adores" meeting her friends there.
Ends with the caption "Sainsbury's say 'Thank-You' for their first 100 years" and an animated version of the "1869 1969" centenary logo.
