"autumn" booklet

Brochure featuring the copy "Celebrate the best of regional British food this autumn at Sainsbury's" and promoting a selection of traditional ingredients and products.

Brochure includes recipes for starters and snacks, main meals and side dishes, and desserts; cook's tips for meals, an advertisement for Sainsbury's to You, and colour photographs. Brochure was available to customers at no charge as part of the "Sainsbury's making life taste better" advertising campaign and was edited by Marc Cudd.

The booklet is divided into the following sections:
"Seasonal selections" - new and seasonal products including Sainsbury's Taste the Difference Pan Fried Vegetable Crisps, Sainsbury's Taste the Difference Tuna Steak, Sainsbury's Pork Chops, Sainsbury's Thinly Sliced Smoked Salmon.
"Effortless entertaining" - promotes products Sainsbury's Slow Cooked Pork Hock and Lamb Shanks in Red Wine and Fresh Rosemary Gravy; recipe for: lamb shanks with roasted sweet potatoes.
"Soup of the day" - recipes for: Jerusalem artichoke soup; wild mushroom soup with dumplings.
"Tastes like home-made" - suggestions for mid-week meals; promotes products: Sainsbury's Taste of Regional Britain range of meals and pies (including Game Meatball Casserole with Dumplings, and Haggis Sausage with Clapshot and Skirlie); Classic British Puff Pastry Pies; Cider Ham and Cumberland Ham (from delicatessen counter); Sainsbury's Taste the Difference Pasta and Applewood Cheese Salad; and Sainsbury's Taste the Difference Hand-Crimped Chicken and Vegetable Pasty; recipes for: pork leftovers stir-fry; lamb patties; chutney in a hurry; mash in a flash; no-fuss chicken noodle; and ham and eggs.

"A great catch" - promotes fish including Orkney salmon; recipes for: picked mackerel, warm potato salad and mustard; salmon fishcakes with lemon thyme and spinach; perfect home-made fish and chips with minted mushy peas; organic smoked salmon and prawns with cucumber and dill relish.
"Hot food for cold nights" - promotes 100% British meat; recipe for lamb and lentil casserole.
"Sunday best" - recipe for mustard and garlic roast beef.
