Brochure advertising summer food lines with "over 60 recipes and ideas for summer".

Includes recipe ideas, colour photographs and an advertisement for Sainsbury's Bank. Brochure was available to customers at no charge as part of the "Sainsbury's Fresh food, fresh ideas" advertising campaign. The brochure was designed and produced by New Crane Communications.

The brochure is divided into the following sections:
"Heat and serve" - promotes barbecue foods; recipes for: chilli and tomato relish; barbecue bream with herbs; herb marinade; chicken tikka drumsticks and rogan josh lamb shoulder chops with a cool sauce; Chinese chicken with egg noodle salad; halloumi and vegetable kebabs; gourmet mango salad; barbecued black beans ribs; cajun prok chops; barbecued corn with chilli and lime butter.

"Lazy sunday lunch" - promotes seasonal products for Sunday dinner; recipes for: salmon and dill soup with soured cream and salmon roe; marinated sirloin steak with red onion confit; oven-roasted new potatoes with oregano; glazed summer vegetables; summer berry tart.

"Meat with a twist" - recipes for: roasted cumin parsnips with lamb chump chops and feta sauce; Thai beef cakes with chilli jam and crème fraîche; tomato chilli jam; udon noodles with spiced beef and mint.

"Summer fruits" - recipes for: barbecued fruit parcels; pineapple with ginger; summer fruit compote.

"Mediterranean dinner party" - recipes for: grilled spiced sea bass with fruity couscous salad; fruity Italian trifle; Mediterranean aubergine roulades; also promotes Sainsbury's scented candles.

"Free tickets now!" advertisement for an offer by Sainsbury's and Air Miles for free tickets for attractions, cinema and bowling in exchange for Sainsbury's Reward Vouchers.

"Food to go" - picnic recipes: tagliatelle torilla with bacon and sage; ploughman's double decker rolls; pasta salad with blue cheese dressing; also promotes Sainsbury's range of quiche.

"Sunshine wine" - promotes wines for summer; recipe for summer fizz.

"Cool mixes" - promotes spirits and soft drinks; recipes for: elderflower and lemon spritzer; flavoured ice cubes.

"Hop picking" - promotes beers and lagers

"Time for tea" - promotes tea and tea-time foods; sandwich recipes (devilled egg and cress; prawn with lemon and dill mayo; gammon and herby cream cheese; and classic cucumber); strawberries and clotted cream; recipe for iced lemon and ginger tea.

"Light fantastic" - light meal recipes: haddock baked on papillote with sun-dried tomatoes, olives and basil; wholemeal pitta breads stuffed with reduced fat houmous, red pepper and carrot; stuffed peppers and romaine heart "boats"; chicken and avocado salad; cucumber salad; beetroot salad; soba noodle and chicken salad; tomato and mushroom tagilatelle.

"Something fishy" - fish recipes: steamed trout fillets; cod fillet with a polenta and sun-dried tomato crust; Thai-style tilapia with udon noodles; laksa with tiger prawns and beansprouts.

"Travel bag" - promotes toiletries for holidays and travelling

"Are your savings earning you a plum rate" - advertisement for Sainsbury's Bank Instant Access Savings Account.

The brochure also includes 'meet the experts' features with introductions by Sainsbury's staff - Tony Sullivan (meat expert), Steve Parkins (Food Centre chef), Mike Attwood (fruit) and Anne Heath (delicatessen).
