The price list covers the full range of Sainsbury's products, i.e. meat, poultry and game, groceries and provisions.
It is hard to see any order in the layout of the pamphlet although similar products from the various departments are listed next to each other. In general dairy products are listed at the start of the pamphlet, charcuterie, groceries and "sundries" (mostly assorted groceries) in the middle and meat and poultry at the end.
Each page is headed with a title stating the nature of the products listed on those pages, at the foot of each page there is a promotional slogan. The front cover is illustrated with a sketch of cows in a rural pasture; the back cover has an advertisment for Christmas Fruits captioned "The Shop Window This Week". The pamphlet has 32 folios. Indexed.
The price list was valid for a fortnight, subject to market fluctuations. It is noteworthy that this price list was issued only a day later than the previous price list documented in the archive, though there are some significant differences in the content, such as the lack of any price information for Canadian Bacon.
There is a stamp for the branch at 23 Trinity Street, Coventry on the fianl page. Some red pencil annotations.
