"New Discount Prices at Sainsbury's in Sutton Coldfield" leaflet

The leaflet was produced to mark the reorganisation of the branch at Lower Parade, Sutton Coldfield and the opening of its new petrol station on 5 October 1976 (the second Sainsbury's petrol station - see 'JS Journal' November 1976, p.3).

It therefore includes a map of the site's location and access points as well as listing twenty discount prices introduced to mark the completion of the reorgnisation. Prices are given for a wide variety of products inluding instant coffee, tinned fruit, jam, mince, margarine and lard, sausages and breakfast cereal; there is a mixture of branded and own-brand items.

The front cover advertises the various improvements made to the store, each of which is written within a red star, the back cover is filled with an advertisement for the new petrol station, with an offer of a 5p voucher to spend instore for every full gallon of petrol purchased.
