Cylindrical stoneware pickle jar with a tan coloured glaze over the lip, neck and shoulder. There is an additional colourless salt glaze over both the inside and outside of the jar. A horizontal line of rolled, impressed decoration encircles the jar at the top of the body. The design consists of a series of small circles.
The jar may have been used for holding pickles.
