There are stamped inscriptions on all four sides of the crate including the phrase, 'NORWEGIAN BLUE CHEESE FROM NORWEGIAN DAIRIES SALES ASSOCIATION, OSLO'. There are also a further handwritten inscriptions on the base and side of the crate.
The crate was used to transport cheese to Sainsbury's branches.
