Round tin tray. Surface features an image of Sainsbury's old depot at Allcroft Passage, Kentish Town showing bacon stoves and horse drawn delivery carts. Inscription on the lid reads 'Extension of Premises' and 'J. Sainsburys Provision Warehouses'. According to pre-existing cataloguing information the tin was sold for 63 pence.
Design adapted from an original 1880s engraving produced for decorating paper bags.
