Case study about how Sainsbury's "Salford store is working in partnership with Salford City Council and the Education Authority to support a local learning development group by turning its old smoking room into a classroom. The development group uses the store as a training centre five days a week, giving people with learning disabilities experience and support in a working environment. The scheme, which is supported by three teachers and currently has ten students using the facility, is run with a view to employing some of them in the store."
