"Sainsbury's Plan Northward Expansion" (national press version) press notice and cuttings, 21 Oct 1977

Press release with related press cuttings announcing that Sainsbury's are planning a big extension to their trading area. They were looking for supermarket sites in 16 northern towns (Liverpool, Blackpool, Preston, Leeds, York, Harrogate, Bolton, Bury, Lancaster, Blackburn, Southport, Crosby, Birkenhead, Prestwich, Huddersfield, and Bradford). The most northerly stores were then in Doncaster and Sheffield. Two different versions of the press release were issued - one for national newspapers and one for regional newspapers.
