Press release announcing that Sainsbury's is the first ever food retailer worldwide to introduce a product containing Myco-protein - a meat substitute developed by Rank Hovis McDougall and ICI [later branded as Quorn]. The product launched with mycoprotein was Sainsbury's Savoury Pie, which was "prepared to taste and eat exactly like beef, but because it is derived from cereals, it is completely cholesterol free".
