Press release announcing that "yesterday Coventry Bears rugby league players put oversized Sainsbury's school uniforms to the ultimate test. The retailer challenged the Bears to test the durability of their uniforms in a full training session, with countless tackles and scrums.
Specially created shirts and shorts, using the same fabrics, cuts and stitching as those created for school-age children, were worn by the players. The test, at the Bears home ground Butts Park Arena, took place before the club's crucial match against top of the league Huddersfield Underbank Rangers, which they went on to win 22-20".
