In 1993, a company, New Crane Publishing, was formed to produce and publish the magazine by editor Michael Wynn Jones and his wife Delia Smith. Seven was founded by managing director Seamus Geoghegan and chairman Mike Potter, both of whom had been at Redwood (Potter was one of the three founders). Seven established Seven Squared in 2007.
