The majority of items were published for Sainsbury's by various publishing firms and are branded under the Sainsbury's name (or Sainsbury's Homebase name). This includes a large number of cookery books published by Sainsbury's (from the 1970s to present), many childrens books (from 1985 to present), and gardening and do-it-yourself books sold under the Homebase brand (from 1981 to 1990). A few publications on other topics are also included such as diaries and a book on pets.
A small number of publications are also included which are not branded as Sainsbury's products including two books sold exclusively in Sainsbury's stores, and some publications with other associations to Sainsbury's.
