Recording of a Sainsbury's Business Television programme for Sainsbury's staff (mainly store management teams). It was broadcast live on 4 January 2000 by satellite to Sainsbury's stores, depots and offices. It was presented by John Howard in the studio.

01:56: Interview in the studio about reasons for successful Christmas 1999 and Millennium trading with: store manager, Locksbottom Elliot Pilcher; senior store manager, Leamington Spa Stuart Hollamby; director, central retail operations Ken Barden; and senior manager, retail operations Nigel Wade. Also includes comments about decision to sell French frozen turkeys and questions from viewers about donating excess food to charities such as Crisis, potentially giving an influenza vaccine ("flu jab") for staff, and advertising a post-Christmas sale of excess Christmas stock levels.
13:42: Report assessing work to ensure the company's systems are "Year 2000 compliant" [ensuring systems weren’t affected by issues caused by year dates stored in a two digit format – the "Millennium Bug"]. Includes footage from Blackfriars head office on 31 December 1999, showing visit of group chief executive Dino Adriano, video diary by Simon Naish of retail operations and Ken Barden, and celebrations and fireworks. Studio guests then respond to questions about the usefulness of the preparations, with examples.
19:48: Discussion in the studio of the "January promotion", covering "electrical sale and grey goods[?]", the Be Good to Yourself range, and the low price guarantee. A "January 2000 Promotion store briefing pack" and clip-on "low price guaranteed" shelf edge label (replacement for a barker card) are shown onscreen. Also includes footage of point of sale advertising. At 21:04 the low price guarantee television commercial is played, showing a checkout with various Sainsbury's and brand-name food products on a checkout conveyer belt, being scanned and the message "PRICE GUARANTEED" appearing onscreen. The commercial ends with the slogan "Sainsbury's, making life taste better" onscreen.
24:26: Ken Barden answers question from caller about the "PF" [Productivity Factor, defined in the 8 March 2000 programme as "the number of man hours available to store managers to run their stores"] for his store, and why it is 106 not 100.
