Recording of a Sainsbury's Business Television programme for Sainsbury's staff (mainly store management teams). It was broadcast live on 3 October 2000 by satellite to Sainsbury's stores, depots and offices. It was presented by John Howard in the studio.

02:10: Montage of footage of Christmas products with snippets of various Christmas songs playing.
03:11: Introduction by presenter John Howard.
04:30: Interview in studio with departmental director, central retail operations Graham Naylor about new Christmas Focus Week. This involved every branch setting aside the week commencing 22 October 2000 to plan for Christmas trading activities. Also includes pre-recorded telephone interview with Hampden Park, Eastbourne branch senior duty manager Colin Hawkins, who came up with the idea. Staff are encouraged to submit ideas to a "christmas.feedback" email address.
08:49: Clips of interviews with customers in Kiln Lane, Epsom branch[?] saying what they like about Sainsbury's, how they think it can improve, and what is important to them.
11:57: Interviews in studio with: trading senior manager, chilled convenience foods Paul Barber about research into customer satisfaction from the previous year's Christmas; project manager, quality, innovation & choice Liz Telfer about new products introduced including hampers and Sainsbury's Organic products, improving point of sale advertising and "3 Quick Ideas with..." cards to give customers product advice; Hendon store manager Jeremy Fitton about toolbox of Christmas planning guidance documents for branches and improving customers' checkout experience and special offer availability; and Graham Naylor about relaxing the "PF" [Productivity Factor, defined in the 8 March 2000 programme as "the number of man hours available to store managers to run their stores"] targets for branches over Christmas.
20:58: Clips of interviews with Kiln Lane, Epsom branch[?] staff saying what it is like working in the run-up to Christmas and what would make working at Christmas easier.
23:46: Interview in studio with Graham Naylor about "three day challenge", involving all head office staff working in a branch for three days in Christmas week, followed by responses to branch staff questions about SLFs, SAT teams [unclear what these are, seem to be stock-related], and car parking at peak times.
27:15: John Howard covers final items comprising upgrade to Business Television equipment in branches by "BTHMA" engineers, and success for Sainsbury's branch managers in Retail Industry Awards 2000, including Store Manager of the Year award for Cromwell Road, Kensington branch manager Kevin Plant.
27:59: Video of Jamie Oliver speaking about new Sainsbury's television commercial in which he visits his father's garden, who like Sainsbury's tries to avoid using pesticides on tomatoes and other produce. Also includes the finished commercial.

Duration: 28 minutes 15 seconds (excluding 2 minutes of countdown at beginning and 2 minutes 15 seconds of blank screen at end). Ends with text onscreen reading "With thanks to Kiln Lane, Epsom [branch]" and "Produced by Group Internal Communications", followed by photograph of Kevin Plant and screen showing contact details for Business Television.
