Recording of a Sainsbury's Business Television programme for Sainsbury's staff (mainly store management teams). It was broadcast on 6 February 2001 by satellite to Sainsbury's stores, depots and offices. It was presented by Steve Knight.

1. Introduction, filmed at a Sainsbury’s store.
2. News update – “total volumes moving through the primary consolidation network” at a record high; haggis sales having increased 36% since last year partly due to Burns Night promotions; now more than 60 stores selling ‘well being’ range, foods for special diets being rolled out nationally; Sevenoaks store customer restaurant is the first certified organic restaurant in a supermarket; European Commission investigating prices of music CDs (compact discs), Sainsbury’s market share growing; stores to nominate schools for Pictures for Schools scheme [which provided free prints of paintings to schools]; Sainsbury’s supporting British Heart Foundation including tour of BHF Family Heart Study bus to stores.
3. Report about Valentine’s Day floral displays, including interview with Michael Forder (Floral Assistant). Discusses availability, displays, customer service and tips for looking after roses in stores. Includes footage of: flower displays, point of sale advertising, and caring for flowers in store.
4. Report about Easter confectionery including interview with Natalie Mitchell (Category Buyer, Confectionery). Discusses ranges of products (including Easter eggs) being sold this year, secondary product displays, point of sale advertising, special offers on Easter eggs, what stores need to do, and tips for displays.
5. Report about the ‘awards promotion’ to promote own-brand products and ranges which had received awards. Includes footage of displays and point of sale advertising, interview with John Robson (Head of National In-Store Promotions). Discusses the point of sale advertising and displays as part of the promotion, ‘quality colour press’ [magazines] advertising and re-run of Jamie Oliver Taste the Difference television commercial.
6. Report about Sainsbury’s Special Selection range of speciality ingredients. Discusses: recent positive press comments; new product displays; customer directory and recipe leaflets; development of and changes to the range. Includes interview with Simon Galkoff (Category Manager, Foods of the World).
7. Report about Comic Relief. Discusses Red Nose Day merchandise, displays, and fundraising activities by staff. Footage is included of Comic Relief projects; merchandise including Red Noses; point of sale advertising; television commercial with Jamie Oliver promoting Red Noses on sale at Sainsbury’s. Includes interviews with Sara Weller (Marketing Director) and Lenny Henry (comedian and television presenter; see video AV/738 for original clip).
