Video promoting the Sainsbury's Stockwise campaign to staff, aimed at improving the way stock is handled.
Video is in the style of a soap opera, with actors (including Martin Freeman) playing the parts of Sainsbury's staff. It begins with text onscreen reading "Somewhere in Cumbria", followed by the title "Picking up the Pieces". The "Sainsbury's Stockwise" owl logo and the text "Prospect BTV" are onscreen throughout.
The video begins with a Sainsbury's lorry driver collecting a delivery of Cumberland sausages in an unprofessional manner and taking them to a Sainsbury's distribution centre, where staff behave unprofessionally and products are damaged, mislabelled and stolen. One staff member is reluctant to attend work, citing a bad back.
One of the distribution centre staff members reconciles with his estranged partner, who works at a Sainsbury's branch and convinces him of the importance of working professionally as a team. He then motivates his colleagues to improve, and together they apprehend a thief.
Video ends with message onscreen "with thanks to all at Sainsbury's Haydock and Sainsbury's Wigan", followed by the "Sainsbury's Stockwise" owl logo, while the song 'Two Can Play That Game' by Bobby Brown plays. This is followed the logo of Prospect Business Television and the text "in association with [Sainsbury's] Group Internal Communications, © 1998 Prospect Business Television Ltd".
Duration: 19 minutes 15 seconds.
