Audio recordings of radio advertisements to promote the opening of new Homebase stores. The advertisements were presumably played on local commercial radio stations.
Many of the advertisements follow a similar theme to the advertisements in SA/SGB/GEN/29, and vary the wording to promote specific stores. This includes the Choice/Help/Service/Autumn series of advertisements used in the 1980s, the 10% Off series used in the late 1980s to early 1990s, and the series with the character Henry used in the 1990s. The advertisements often have different 'tags' to advertise when the store was going to open such as 'opens this Tuesday', 'opens tomorrow' and 'is now open'.
