"Texas Tom" Texas Homecare television commercials

Texas Homecare television commercials featuring ‘Texas Tom’.

Both commercials are 60 seconds long and feature a jingle in the style of American country and western music about ‘Texas Tom’, and a woman or couple who are dissatisfied about the state of their home, until they go to Texas Homecare to refurbish their home. At the end the adverts advise customers to go to Texas and “just ask for Tom”. “Tom” is revealed at the end to be a Texas Homecare store employee.

The two adverts are as follows:
1. A woman is ironing “alone in her drab little home when her thoughts turn to me, Texas Tom”. She rushes to Texas through the rain to meet ‘Tom’ to improve her home.
2. A couple are tired of their home and have drifted apart from each other. The kitchen is falling apart and the woman becomes angry. They travel in the man’s lorry cab to Texas and they buy kitchen units which bring the couple happily together again.
