10 Texas Blockbuster Sale advert. Features an image of a Texas store with text “Blockbuster Sale” above it. The sale started on New Year’s Day.
11. ‘Texas Tom’ advert, featuring a couple who are stressed about the state of their home and then go to Texas to improve it. With a country music style jingle. Ends with image depicted a member of staff and caption “Just ask for Tom”.
12. Advert promoting Minworth, Sutton Coldfield and Solihull stores for the May Bank Holiday. Features silhouette image of ‘Texas Tom’ working through the night moving various items eg ladders. An instrumental version of the Texas Tom jingle is included in the background. The advert states the stores were open till 8pm every bank holiday.
13. Texas End of Year Sell Out (boxing day sale) advert. Begins with on-screen text “It’s bigger than a sale! It only happens once a year! It starts 10am Boxing Day!”.
14. Advert for the reopened Texas store at Mallings Industrial Estate, Lewes and the Texas winter sale. The advert shows a train of trolleys, with train sounds. End caption text “Texas Sale. Open New Year’s Day” and voiceover “Well good news always travels fast”. Voiceover seems to be by actor Tom Baker.
