"YTS Training for Skills" Texas Homecare video

Video about the YTS [Youth Training Scheme] opportunities for young people to train at Texas Homecare stores. Texas was approved by the Manpower Services Commission as managing agents for a YTS training scheme in retail skills. YTS was a government scheme in conjunction with employers for on the job training for school leavers.

The video was presented by Helen Lloyd and also features various Texas Homecare staff and YTS trainees. It was partially filmed at a Texas store.

The video is split into the following sections: introduction; correspondence courses; work-based projects; computer courses; life skills; competence objectives; and working conditions and prospects. It includes information on the training offered, the work at Texas, and opportunities for employment after the YTS scheme.
