"I REMEMBER SAINSBURY'S IN LORDSHIP LANE, TOTTENHAM, IN THE 1950s. AS A CHILD I USED TO WATCH THE LADY ASSISTANT PAT THE BUTTER INTO SQUARES WITH WOODEN RIDGED BUTTER PATTERS WHICH I CAN STILL CLEARLY SEE THE ASSISTANT DOING NOW IN MY MEMORY. SHE WORE A WHITE TURBAN HAT AND WHITE OVERALL. THE STORE HAD BEAUTIFUL FANCY PATTERN STONE FLOOR TILES AND TILED WALLS. THE CASHIER I RECALL WAS IN A BOOTH AT THE TOP END OF THE STORE WHERE THE CASH WAS SENT VIA A MONEY TUBE I LOVED THIS FANCY STORE AND NOW HAPPY TO USE OUR OWN SAINSBURY STORE WHERE I LIVE.
