My mum worked in the Butcher department at Sainsburys Islington Angel in mid to late 1980s. Every week she would let me choose a Walker book as a treat. I remember re-reading A bad start for Father Christmas again and again. I loved the details of Santa's workshop, the normal things santa did like brush his teeth. The illustrations were detailed and it felt like a feast for the eyes. I've cherished this book and introduced it to my two year olds christmas eve ritual. I hope she will love it as much as I do.
